"where is everybody?"
This paradox had been going on for 70 years. And many reasonable and logical fact try to conclude and still try to solve Fermi's paradox.
If this earth is typical, and the universe have a massive probability to provide existence of other living creature, then why there isn't any evidence that they are exist?
The apparent size and age of the universe suggest that many technologically advanced extraterrestrial civilizations ought to exist.
However, this hypothesis seems inconsistent with the lack of observational evidence to support it.
Here some of those reason that i like, and i feel more comfortable to believe :
Zoo/Interdict Scenario : The aliens are here, and they are keeping us in a well designed zoo (cut off from all contact) or there is an interdiction treaty to prevent contact with young races (us). Problem: scenario lacks the ability to be tested. Takes only one ET to break embargo.
They Have No Desire To Communicate : ET has no interest in conversing with lesser beings. Problem: with millions of possible civilizations, someone would have some curiosity.
Civilizations only have a limited lifetime, They are all dead.
It is the nature of intelligent life to destroy others
Life is periodically destroyed by naturally occurring events
I had once thought about the possibility that human have the tendencies to solve and destroy. Means, that in their way to solve a problem (which made by themselves) they would create a chain reaction which would destroy another.
But this tendencies are some things that been build as a part of being human. like a self-destruction button that appear in electronic tools, human as well have them. But it works automatically.
There's a theory that say, if a civilization have reach some level, in some amount of time, they will destroy it selves. Which mean, each civilization have times. Limitation where it all going to end, and it would start all over again. That explain why there isn't any intelligent being that contact us from afar. Because when they reach certain level of intelligent, they're dead.
it might appear people would never give up in finding a way to prove alien existence. And after many explanation and reason being given to solve the Fermi's problem. I just can't understand why is it so hard for people to find GOD?
All the evidence are more legit than the existence of extraterrestrial civilization, which is our existence. Then why people give up on finding God?
